My wife Marian and I were blessed to enjoy the last week of June at Deer Ridge, among those of us who were present that week affectionately known as "Squirrel Ridge," resting, sleeping, rejuvenating, and enjoying the fellowship of a special group of pastoral couples with whom we have shared the ups and downs of ministry for more than a decade. Dave and Louise are profoundly gifted for this ministry, making us feel welcomed home, and able to be ourselves.

We have just returned from a wonderful retreat with Deer Ridge Ministries. We cannot thank you enough for giving so much of yourselves to minister to other pastors and their wives. Your gifts of hospitality were a great blessing to us. What a special gift you gave us in providing a place for us to rest and just to be together, two things that are hard to come by when you are in full time ministry and have small children!
