Pastors and spouses are encouraged to arrive Sunday evenings after 4:00 p.m. to familiarize themselves with the property. Retreats end at 10:00 a.m. on the following Friday. PLEASE NOTE: Because of the nature of our rest retreats, we cannot accommodate any children.
During the five days and evenings of the retreat, individuals are free to take advantage of the common areas in the retreat house or stay in their suites. Each spacious suite includes a comfortable king-size bed, closet, full bathroom, desk and sitting area and a DVD player for study, inspiration and relaxation. We maintain an extensive library of books and inspirational and entertaining DVDs for guest use.
The common areas of the retreat house include the Great Room, parlor, large deck area, home theater, guest kitchen, library, lower level library/game room and 5 acres of beautiful grounds and nearby walking/biking/hiking paths.
Self-directed paths of study are provided for all retreat attendees. There are several choices of studies, provided for your week of spiritual renewal The studies are interactive and will require 1-2 hours each day. Each guest suite is supplied with several books, teaching CDs or DVDs, music and other materials, which will aid the participants in spiritual refreshment and relaxation. These room libraries include all books referred to in any of the studies. Most of the reading is applied to sections of these books.
Breakfast and lunch foods are provided Monday through Friday for guests to enjoy at their leisure. All guests gather in the dining room each evening at 5:30 for dinner. You need not bring snacks. Everything is provided!
NOTE: There are additional exercise facilities in Freeport (modest visitor fees apply), a beautiful park just 4 minutes away, Jane Addams Trail for hiking and biking, and several State Parks a simple 30 minutes drive, and a top rated golf course, Park Hills, only 10 minutes away.
