The 12th Annual Deer Ridge Prime Rib Dinner and Dessert auction, held Friday, March 10th was a great success. This year’s theme was “It’s A Jungle Out There!” and we had quite a “roaring” good time. Guests arrived in jungle print attire and during a live auction, bid on desserts made to look or taste like things from the jungle. Cakes and pies were from ‘the fruit of the palm,’ (coconut) and pineapple. Several items looked like tiger, zebra, leopard, or jaguar print. We enjoyed prime rib together and heard about updates from David regarding the Deer Ridge property and ministry. People learned we had expanded and resurfaced the driveway as well as tiled and updated two of the bathrooms with walk-in showers. We also told about several of our guests. Pastor Blake Canterbury and Jenny Farrell provided testimonials describing their visits to Deer Ridge. Our guests got a great taste of what it is to be a guest with the ministry.
